Our mission.
At SPARE, our mission is both simple and profound: to give voice to the Earth.
We set out to craft everyday essentials that are not only useful and plastic-free, but also beautiful—and imbued with a deeper purpose: the collective good. SPARE is a mindful choice, a way to honor what we have while taking less from the Earth.
How we fill our space matters. Now more than ever, less is more speaks to a richer, more intentional way of living. In simplicity, we make room—for connection, for beauty, for life.
True sustainability begins with restraint—with sparing the Earth. To reimagine consumption is to begin healing. We believe that Spare is an act of care, a quiet vow to take only what is needed.
It is a privilege to live in this moment of returning—a time to pause, reflect, and begin again with greater care and understanding. Our colorful totes are more than just objects; they are vessels for change, designed to carry not only your belongings, but our shared hopes for a better way.

Gratitude for people and place.
We appreciate all of the hearts and hands that come together to bring our goods to life. Handcrafted in small batches in Portland, OR, our bags are designed for lasting durability. We’re confident this will be the last laundry basket you’ll ever need.
Audrey Slosberg, Founder
I am a seeker of beauty, drawn to the aesthetics of understated design—timeless forms that offer delight through shape, color, and simplicity. Wherever I go, I strive to make the spaces around me more inspired, a little more beautiful.
In a world overwhelmed by excess, I choose with intention. I believe the objects we use every day should be thoughtfully crafted—pleasing to the senses, gentle on the Earth, and as beautiful as they are functional. Beauty connects us to the deeper rhythms of nature.
The Earth—her forests, rivers, mountains, lakes, and meadows—is my place of solace and constant inspiration. After two decades in the field of healing, I’ve learned to listen more deeply to what life is asking of us: to live wisely, choose carefully, and create with reverence.
SPARE is my response to that listening. It is an offering of thoughtfully made goods—designed to hold space, not fill it. SPARE honors the belief that less can truly be more, and that beauty, even in its simplest form, can nourish us in the most ordinary moments.
We believe true harmony in our world comes when we fully embrace interconnection and interdependence—recognizing that we all need one another. When we create with the collective good in mind, the path naturally unfolds with ease and grace. SPARE came to together in this spirit, shaped by the hands of thoughtful, local talent.
