At the heart of SPARE is a love for beautiful objects, a deep respect for nature, and a call to help heal the planet.

We believe the things we use every day should be thoughtfully made—pleasing to the senses, purposeful in design, and respectful of the Earth.

SPARE is both a mantra and a challenge: an invitation to rethink how we meet our material needs, express our creativity, and live more intentionally on our changing planet.

True sustainability begins with restraint—with sparing the Earth. To get there, we must pause, reflect, and reimagine our patterns of consumption. SPARE is that reminder: to take only what’s needed, and to find peace in enough.

Our colorful Laundry Totes are more than just objects; they are vessels for change—designed to carry not only your belongings, but our shared hopes for a better way.

After all, the magic isn’t in things. It’s in you.

Audrey Slosberg, Founder

I spent twenty-five years in the healing arts as a chiropractor and energy medicine practitioner, helping people reconnect with their bodies and their innate capacity to heal. Over time, I came to see that this work extends beyond the individual, that the health of the Earth and the health of humanity are deeply intertwined.

Design has always been a lifelong love of mine, the way form, function, and material can influence how we feel. SPARE grew from that meeting place — a desire to create something beautiful and useful, while remembering that beauty and healing share the same space.

For me, caring for the Earth is part of caring for ourselves. Through SPARE, I hope to offer objects and ideas that invite us to slow down, live with care, and find joy in the spaciousness of less.

We believe in the power of interconnection and interdependence, understanding that meaningful achievements are only possible when we come together. We’re deeply grateful for every heart and hand that helps bring our goods to life.

Handcrafted in small batches in Portland, OR, our bags are designed for lasting durability. We’re confident this will be the last laundry basket you’ll ever need.
